Harbinger’s 2,000-Truck FedEx Order Signals a Major Electric-Fleet Milestone

Humergy congratulates Harbinger on its continued success and a landmark order from FedEx for 2,000 all-electric medium-duty trucks, valued at more than $300 million.

Planned for delivery by the end of 2027, the vehicles will support FedEx pickup and delivery operations across the United States and Canada. Harbinger estimates that replacing conventional diesel trucks could save approximately $40 million in fuel costs annually and avoid more than 1.7 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions over the vehicles’ service lives.

Milestones of this scale also introduce an important operational challenge: helping fleets transition without disrupting daily service. Charging strategy, vehicle readiness, maintenance coordination, driver support and contingency planning all become increasingly important as electric vehicles enter active duty.

That is where Humergy sees an opportunity to help Harbinger and companies undertaking similar transitions. Humergy’s mobile vehicle-support model could complement fleet-electrification programs by helping organizations coordinate on-site services, support mixed EV and internal-combustion fleets during the transition, reduce avoidable vehicle downtime and give fleet managers a clearer operational handoff.

Humergy is not announcing a partnership with Harbinger or FedEx at this time. We are celebrating an important industry achievement and inviting a conversation about how flexible, on-site vehicle support can help ambitious electrification programs succeed in real-world operations.

Congratulations to the Harbinger team on this remarkable milestone.
